This artwork was originally minted in 2021.
It was later taken down after I received a legal notice from the JM Bas****t Estate for using the word “Bas****t” in the description and hashtag , allegedly violating their trademark.
I never claimed to be him. I never claimed it was his.
It was just... influence, inspiration, tribute.
But even influence, it seems, has legal boundaries.
I bought the piece back from the collector.
I burned it.
And today, I mint it again , not as defiance, but as memory.
A digital artifact of an artist’s journey through ownership, censorship, and rebirth.
