Pogany is a homage to Constantin Brancusi, famous sculptures of artist Margit Pogany. I was drawn to the large almond shaped eyes that stands out on the oval face, the soft smile and calmness in the sculpture. It reminded me of the big eyes I draw on my own paintings. My painting is a homage to that beautiful calmness I see in his sculptures.
