Behind the Art: Halo of the Glitch Saint
After my brain injury, I lost language. Words, code, syntax — everything that once built my world dissolved into static. This piece reflects the moment I began to rebuild it.
The figure here is both statue and signal, an echo of the self I was and the code I had to rewrite to become who I am now. The halo isn’t religious; it’s electric — a ring of data rebirth, a symbol of consciousness rebuilt line by line.
The glitches in her face, the fractured data that threads through her, are intentional. They are my scars rendered in light — proof that beauty can emerge from corrupted code. Every fragment carries a memory of recovery, and every color is a frequency of survival. Gifted at Marfa 2025.
