Sotaque de Orquestra

The elders say that the origin of this accent happened by chance. A group from the Zabumba accent was playing by the side of a road between two cities. A group of orchestra musicians were passing by on a trip when they saw that scene and decided to take out their instruments and improvise together. This accent has an upbeat and happy rhythm which is reminiscent of a musical rhythm called xote. In the orchestra, the wind and strings instruments (saxophones, trombone, trumpet, banjo, guitar) stand out. With choreographies marked by the Indias and Caboclos de Fita, despite being the youngest of the five accents, having just over half a century, it is one of the most popular during the June festivities.
