Sotaque de Zabumba

Considered the oldest accent, it originates from the city of Guimarães, the name by which it is also known. The band is composed of several types of percussion instruments, such as the zabumba, fire drums, jaguar drums, tambourines, and maracás. In the dance, there is the Caboclo de Fita, currently called Vaqueiro de Fita, because there are no feathers in his costume, a typical character of the Boi de Zabumba, along with the India and the Zabumbeiro (percussionist), represented in the work.
