Sotaque Costa de Mão
Also known as Boi de Cururupu, it is said that it was created by slaves, who, because their palms were tired and injured from so much work, used the back of their hands (costa de mão) to play the tambourine, hence its name.
The peculiar way of playing the instrument became a tradition, becoming the Costa de Mão accent, which is currently almost extinct. Although there are promotion projects, there are very few groups that carry the heritage of Costa de Mão.
Unlike other accents, in Costa de Mão the Rajado (Caboclo de Fita) wears a cone-shaped hat. The India and the percussionist are also present, as shown in the artwork.
