A sloping dune cuts through the frame. The sun, low enough that it doesn’t light the face, it ignites it. The rim glows orange, almost metallic, while everything else collapses into shadow.
On both sides, the sand becomes soft, heavy with shadow the detailed patterning providing intricate detail. The shapes are fluid, the surface is cross-hatched with tiny ripples, each line catching just enough light to show how the wind has left its mark across the dune. Architectural, geological and atmospheric at the same time.
