Looking Through the Glitch I don’t remember when it started, only that everything began to feel slightly off. Like I was standing inside my own head, watching life through a cracked screen. The days looped. The noise stayed loud. My thoughts lagged behind my body. I moved, but I wasn’t free. The glitch wasn’t a machine or a system,it was doubt. Every fear I ignored became a pixel. Every dream I delayed added static. Over time, the picture of who I was supposed to be got distorted. I could still see myself in there somewhere, but only in fragments. I tried to focus. The harder I tried, the worse it got. The glitch pulsed when I played it safe. It flickers when I choose comfort over risk. That’s when I realized the trap wasn’t around me, nope it was built inside me. I wasn’t chained by the world. I was chained by hesitation. Crime Pays isn’t about breaking rules. It’s about breaking patterns. The real crime was stealing my own future by standing still. Every time I said “later,” the glitch grew thicker. Every time I doubted myself, the signal weakened. So I stopped trying to fix the image and started moving through it. I stepped into the static. I let things feel uncomfortable. I paid attention to the small details again—the light on the wall, the silence between thoughts, the moments that felt real instead of rehearsed. The glitch didn’t disappear, but it started to open. Somewhere between the noise and the break, I saw myself clearly for the first time. Not perfect. Not finished. Just real. The chains loosen when you stop negotiating with fear.
