In That Moment I Was Free.

Time is an interesting concept. It’s just always there to experience moments with you—the good ones, the bad ones, the confusing ones, the liberating ones, and so many others. The difficult moments, however, seem to linger the longest, taking all the joy out of everything. They make you question all that is good and/or positive around you. And the longer they last, the more they tend to hold you down. They hold down your thoughts, your daydreams, your ambitions, your childlike wonder, and even your appreciation for the essence of life itself. But the only way out is through. Living through every obstacle in the way and realizing none of them are strong enough to keep you down. What seems like bondage is only a construct of your mental state. The moment you realize that those moments never last forever is the moment you feel free of being controlled by them. Your life falls back into your hands, and it all comes back to your control. It took me a lot to see things this way and in that moment of my realization, I was free. AnjolaDave. 2025
