In 2016, the hacker known as TheDaoCreator exploited a Re-Entrancy Vulnerability to steal 3.5 Million ETH from The DAO. The Re-entrancy attack is also known as a Recursive Calling Vulnerability and to tie it all together, this piece was created using a Recursive mathematical transform.
