A painting evolves from broad strokes to narrow streaks of color. The animation encodes in a grid, from large blocks to individual pixels. Together they draw grasses and flowers. Time stitching each together. ---- We’re working to combine traditional painting with the digital art medium. Exploring what process and movement can be aided with software and code. The paint strokes are captured frame by frame with photography first and then extracted, recombined, and looped digitally. A collaboration between MaryAnn Ead (painter) and Keegan Ead (animator).
