Spectrum, a generative art project created by digital artist Fabio Catapano in 2023, invites the viewer to witness a serene and captivating display of colours cascading down like a waterfall. The animated artwork is created using Touch Designer, a real-time visual development platform, and showcases a constant flow of hues that slowly shift, blend, and transform with each passing moment. The piece is designed to give a meditative and hypnotic experience to the viewer, as the slow pace of the work encourages one to get lost in the mesmerizing motion of the colours. Spectrum is part of the artist's wider research on digital beauty, colour, and nature, and serves as a testament to his exploration of the symbiotic relationship between technology and art.
