My name’s Lillian and I'm a yoga teacher, a life coach, and I work for an oil and gas company as a marketing manager. This whole yoga thing started during COVID when I decided to leave Emirates (airlines) and pursue my teacher training. I saw the positive impact it had on my body and mind. I’ve also been reading self-development and psychology books since I was 18 so I trained to be a licensed life coach as well. After that I was hired to coach at the oil and gas company I currently work for. Then, when ArtsDAO started evolving into the largest NFT community in the Middle East I become their go to yoga instructor. We would organize events focusing on wellbeing, mental health, and physical health. So, I have a lot of diversity in my life right now. I heard about Web3 when I first met Anas (@ananasbrb) in November when he was leaving his law firm to start ArtsDAO. He gave me a long session about NFT’s and Blockchain and I was all in. It made sense with tying physical assets to digital tokens especially in real estate where you can eventually buy then title dead of a home on the blockchain and skip the weeks of bureaucracy and hidden fees. I could see the future in it. I could see how I could drop a collection that then becomes the membership to my yoga sessions and then build a community around my brand. So, I’ve been listening and learning and scheming to come up with my own project to cater to the Web3, whom I otherwise would not have access to. People working in Web3 are usually sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time without stretching their bodies. A lot of them are burnt out and sometimes it’s difficult for them to maintain relationships because they’re working all the time. In other words, working in web3 is less of a job and more of a lifestyle. So, they need to have some sort of mental release and life balance. Let’s also be honest, web3 folk are predominantly male and the yoga world is predominantly female. So they might shy away from independently signing up to a yoga class because they don’t want to be the only males in an all-female room. So, I’d love to create something specific for the NFT community where they feel safe and can feel comfortable together and trust each other so they can grow together in different areas other than work.
