Yes, I am a jester, and my laughter rings beneath the circus dome.
But once the curtain falls, only silence remains - silence that knows my truth.
I walk a lonely road, warmed by others’ lights, while my heart searches for its one true glow.
My mask is my cross, my sentence, and my freedom.
I give joy to others, hiding my own pain.
P.S. Try to look behind my mask… what you’ll see is known only to the silence of the arena and the extinguished spotlights.
