Central Park (IR040)
Paolo Pettigiani is a photographer who explores the topic of “seeing the unseen”, driven by a desire to explore familiar places whilst expanding the limits of perception through a graphic exploration of territory. “Central Park (IR040)” from the 2016 NYC Infrared series, it’s an iconic image that became viral after a couple of hours from the publication and completely changed Paolo’s life.
This photo, shot using a converted Full-Spectrum Infrared camera, offers a fusion of science and creativity to capture the electromagnetic spectrum of light that is invisible to the human eye. Paolo’s Infrared works are an invitation to further explore our surroundings with new enthusiasm and new eyes.
The series has been featured in several publications including The Guardian, The Washington Post, Wired and Vogue and have been exhibited in international exhibitions in New York, Paris and Milan.
