The Aftermath

The Aftermath is the fifth artwork in the Odyssey Ablaze series. Odyssey Ablaze is a story following Ignis Stello and his pursuit of finding a purpose in life. On his mission Ignis goes through a wide spectrum of emotional and mental states, often doubting if he will ever be able to find what he is looking for. His odyssey is a symbol of the unavoidable struggles on the journey to a purposeful life, with every obstacle thrown in the way. As the dust settles from the storm, I find myself alone, listening to the crackling bones. Burning and shattering, everything that is you, you, the wicked self of me. Burying you deep down where only a few have gone, you, my saviour, you, my tormentor. Am I now at peace, I ask myself, or was the unease of chaos my kind of peace. Do I already miss it, do I already crave for it back? I mourn you. Is it just for today or is it forever?
