What does it mean to be human? At what point in our evolutionary history did the "soul" become part of our genetic makeup? Are we the only living beings with that divine mandate that grants us access to an afterlife after our physical bodies have become one with the earth?
Do neanderthals go to heaven? When we evolve into new species millions of years from now. would we lose access to the afterlife or is heaven crowded with the souls of different species of animals that came before us and those that will come after us?
How much of our prefrontal cortex do we have to lose before we lose our humanity? Will androids eventually dream of electric sheep?
