"Night Wave" -- Mohler. November 18th, 2021. Video: 2 min 23 sec. 3840px w. 2160px h. Created originally for the Culver Current sculpture in the Dale Jones Courtyard of City Hall in Culver City. Created from photographs of a city at night. A special release for the ArtRepublic Art Basel 2021 exhibition. Mohler explains further: "When I first started this series it was for the sculpture Culver Current, which comes to life with digital art each night in the courtyard at city hall in Culver City. In an effort to capture the essence of the city, I started researching how to use the color and texture in photographs from around the area as the “paint and paintbrush” for the video art projected around sculpture.
