./spiral began with one invitation: return to an earlier work, tool or unresolved idea, and extend it from where you are now. The condition was that the return not be a repetition.
Eleven artists answered across AI, generative systems, on-chain work, protocol art, ceramics and print: Anne Spalter, Artonymous, Atay Ilgun, Bård Ionson, Gene Kogan, Helena Sarin, Kyle McDonald, Mario Klingemann, Pindar Van Arman, Rhea Myers and Robbie Barrat.
The show marks a period when a generation of artists were learning these tools as they arrived. It is the first exhibition to treat that stretch as a period rather than a sequence of individual moments. If the show has a medium, it is not image, code or print, but the interval: the years between the first version and this one, containing everything that makes the return worth staging.
So this is not a retrospective. It is a return that also looks forward, because the interval only becomes legible from where the artists are standing now. In thirty years, this period may be reconstructed from its artefacts. Right now, you can simply ask.
This is the exhibition poster, an open edition minted for the duration of the show, with each token paired with a physical print shipped to its collector.
