In the quiet of the late afternoon, a sharp blade of sunlight cuts across the room, finding her settled in the soft folds of the chair. She is a study in contrasts, her skin warmed by the light while her thoughts remain in a cooler, more private space. On the wall, her shadow offers a starker profile, a perfect silhouette detached from the complexities of flesh and feeling. This is a moment suspended between action and rest, where a certain slant of light reveals not the world outside, but the one within. Her dark companion on the wall neither judges nor consoles; it simply is, a silent echo in this quiet conversation with herself.
