My life never came sorted, so I made puzzles as out of sorts as I am. The moments that made me had arrived out of order: flash-in-the-pan memories, facets and fragments and loose threads that wove me together while I was busy being puzzled. The milestones came shuffled and the plan stayed unassembled. The unsortedness isn't the obstacle to the life. It is the life.
Each piece is built in my signature Abstractia style, where representational subjects fuse with segmented abstraction: overlapping planes and expressionist color that shift perspective, with flora standing in for growth and transformation. Cutting these works into sliding puzzles was the honest next step. The segmentation was already there; the puzzle just lets you shuffle it.
