Can you recollect the first thing you ever heard?
I know I can’t,
Was it an activity or a word?
Was it the sound of my mother’s beating heart?
I like to believe that.
That it was love from the start.
A gentle heart thump bu-bump bu-bump
That reminder of life,
Love in every pump.
