A crowded theatre of instinct, status, and disguise, where human figures merge with horned creatures, sharp-toothed faces, and tailored silhouettes. Each figure competes to be seen while remaining hidden behind another identity.
Everyone Wore Their Teeth explores the fragile line between civility and animal instinct. Suits, collars, and bow ties evoke order, etiquette, and social performance, while exposed teeth, horns, and watchful eyes reveal the tension beneath the surface. The figures press together until no single individual dominates; instead, they form a collective portrait of society as something both compelling and unsettling—beautiful, anxious, and quietly predatory.
Drawn in pencil on paper and refined through subtle digital intervention, the work preserves the texture and imperfections of the original drawing while extending its colour, depth, and atmosphere into the digital realm.
