Mikey Wright in black and white. Another black and white, but the excercise is to get moving and showcase the work and stories of some of the most pivotal moments in my photograhy career.
I am here writing this to you now thanks in part to a desire to focus my time and energy to documenting elite level human performance amongst waves in the ocean. Its been through this pursuit that my enamourmet with seeking out and photographing beautiful moments in the ocean was solidified as my path.
My own experience as an athlete allowed me to be comfortable in close quarters around other athletes doing their thing, knowing where to be and where not to be, allowed me to immediately produce some interesting imagery and the difficulty of beautifully documenting what looked like watching a during version of tony hawks pro skater in the ocean in front of my eyes became some what of an addictive, challenging experience.
This image is of Mikey Wright, shot swimming out at a surf break called Cobblestones close to my home at Cowaramup Bay. While extremely talented all round Mikey radical surfing aerialists on earth.
This collection titled Flight is a part of me, Ive worked on it for a decade I pushed myself to face my fears and swim out to document the best surfers on earth and now am pushing myself to release them to the blockchain. I hope you enjoy this artwork and collection. Thankyou for the support.
