Josh Moniz about to land roughly a foot infront of my position in the water.
This photograph is from the session and a task that changed my trajectory towards where i now sit typing this from. Sitting in the first days a masters of architecture degree, driven by a promise made to my father a few weeks before he passed, that I would complete, I was asked to shoot with two professional surfers Josh and Seth Moniz for the Iconic Surfer Magazine. My first ever assignment.
This is one of my favourite moments. Josh hails from a famous Hawaiian surfing family and both he and Seth were such legends that we did very well, leaving Surfer Magazine super happy and pushing me to make a hard decision to follow my heart and stay connected to the ocean, of which my father always pushed me to listen to my heart. I have asked myself to be happy with completeing the Bachelor of Architecture, a huge challenge in itself. It gave me a creative process I am applying to this day. Grateful for this image and for all the opportunities that have lead me to be able to immortalise this on the blockchain.
