Clearly Paradise

Colorado is the state that first inspired me to pick up Landscape Photography. I grew up in the midwest USA where there are no mountains. While in college I got an internship at Microsoft and set out to drive from Illinois to Washington state. When I reached Colorado, west of Denver, and saw the mountains, I fell in love. Because of this, I knew my second photo on SuperRare would be from Colorado. Currently, my favorite place to photograph in Colorado is in the San Juan mountains. It’s a little closer to home than the eastern side of the state and the mountains feel more raw and wild. “Clearly Paradise” embodies how I feel when I am in these mountains experiencing their pure beauty. Columbines are one of my favorite wildflowers so on this trip it was a goal of mine to get a photo I love with these delicate beauties, which are Colorado’s state flower. When I found this composition and the soft pink clouds blew in, it was clearly paradise.
