Dissolving
We are the universe and the universe is us. We dissolve into the cycle of meanings and the field of information in which we live.
We are not just individuals existing in isolation. We are an integral part of the universe itself.
Within the ever-shifting cycle of meanings and the intricate information field that surrounds us, there is a constant dissolution and reconstruction of self. The phrase 'be yourself', a common refrain in society, is a perplexing enigma in this context.
Questions arise: Who are we, in reality? Are we the product of our cultural upbringing, the amalgam of teachings, the laughter we share with friends and the values we choose to embrace or reject?
Who is this 'self' that we are told to be? Is it merely a reflection of the culture we were born into and absorbed? Have we embraced it, or have we simply internalised pre-existing meanings and beliefs imposed on us by society?
Have I ever been "me" globally?
