In GOTHIC 2.1, images of the past share a sofa with today’s habits of consumption. In this moment shared with Ossen, I turn my attention to the pause before a spoon reaches the mouth. That brief interval in which we might notice what we invite into our lives, and the meaning we give it. Perhaps what changes with time is the attention we give our desires as much as the desires themselves.
