This self-portrait embodies the paradox of being both seer and seen. The central figure is not a fixed self but a phase within a continuum, flanked by spectral echoes that drift forward and backward—temporal shadows of identity in motion. These layered selves gesture toward a perception that is not spoken aloud but lived internally: the awareness of existence as recursive, fractal, and aeonic. The dual title reflects this doubleness. Aeonic Fractalis Synesthete names the one who perceives eternity through fractal awareness; Sensus Fractalis Aevum names the faculty of that perception, the capacity to recognize repeating patterns across scales of being within the span of everlasting time. The work gives form to an unspoken experience of time folding in on itself—moments extending outward and contracting inward at once, the self mirrored ahead and behind like phases of the same wave.
