Inspired by Botto’s Prismatic Safari, this piece reimagines the eerie distortions AI often produces, blending forms into something both familiar and unsettling. The elephant-giraffe hybrid is a visual abomination, capturing the bizarre, unnatural mutations that AI can create. Perched atop the tree, my signature character watches helplessly as their world is eaten away. Once a symbol of stability, the tree is now being consumed, a reflection of the reaction sparked by the original artwork’s sale, where artists see their creative spaces shrinking in the wake of AI generated content. The landscape is changing, leaving less room for those who built it. Some will call it innovation. Others will call it a beautifully rendered mistake. And somewhere in the distance, a muffled voice grumbles, "They took our trees."
