DREAM MACHINES is an isometric arrangement of screens and monitors, each displaying a different type of noise — scan lines, static, dot grids, interference patterns. The scene also features references to collective events, DIY installations and underground venues. It is rendered in B&W pixelated textures and animated using a moiré patterning technique central to my work.
DREAM MACHINES is a reflection on significant aspects of my artistic practice and trajectory: screens as vehicles for aesthetic experiments, collective events as sites for shared experiences, and an art practice built around optical and sensory phenomena. DREAM MACHINES is about the convergence of all these elements, and the brief possibility of utopia these convergences create.
