Low cloud and valley fog are common throughout the mountains of northern British Columbia, particularly during autumn and early winter. As moist air cools overnight, entire forests can disappear beneath a blanket of mist, only to emerge again as the morning warms. Some of the most atmospheric moments lasted only a few minutes before the landscape changed completely.
