This series of abstract portraits explore different facets of the human condition such as joy, suffering, and identity. These works move away from realistic depictions, instead using fragmented and distorted forms to represent the human figure. This abstraction allows the pieces to dynamically represent the interplay of internal and external forces that shape human experiences and perceptions.
The use of varied textures in the artwork adds a tactile depth that enhances the thematic expression of each portrait. These textures range from rough, illustrating psychological turmoil, to smooth, suggesting serenity and introspection. By employing abstract forms and deliberate textural contrasts, the series encourages a deeply personal interpretation, prompting viewers to reflect on the complexities of human emotions and their own place within the broader human experience.
