I needed to let go of many things: my past self; her too, unfortunately. For whatever reason, it just comes easier when it's symbolic. The burning of an effigy is not only therapeutic, but also quite beautiful. Even as I sit, watching the sun rise, I still see the embers, smoldering with an intensity that only memories can produce. Eventually, the memories will also be memories. Soon, hopefully. 5500px by 6300px. 2024.
