The last bull

The third painting of the "Antithesis" collection, "The last bull" depicts a surrealist-dystopian scenery inspired by "The last supper" and takes it further into the future. Its purpose is to use elements of the past to create a present and familiar background with the intention to signal a warning to our not-so-distant future. The main character painted in the middle of the scene is a younger version of "The last man" and it is served to eat the head of a bull, a metaphor for what's meant to be the final taste of greed and gluttony that's left for humanity, a final chapter of prosperity that will be concluded with the decline of the human species.
