The pandemic took its toll on every single person in the world, in many different ways, on many different levels. For me, due to the harsh restrictions in Australia, I was allowed little to no freedom. I lost the will to create, and therefore, I lost sight of who I am. I can't describe the feeling when you realise that you've lost the drive to create. However, it makes the moment you get it back unbelievable. A unique euphoria. This image was taken the first night I went out shooting and came back with work I was not only happy with, but beyond proud of. I could feel myself starting to feel whole again. This night, and this image, bridged the gap between being lost and being myself.
