Murder of Leo (Frame 10 of 25) The lion is a universal symbol of Sri Lanka and its people, representing their spirit and resilience. However, this is only symbolically true for the country since, throughout its history, cruel and misguided socio-political and cultural forces have corrupted the real soul of the people. The artwork, "Murder of Leo", takes inspiration from this cruel crushing of the soul of a strong nation and its people.
