No two accounts of the Gilded Mantichore agree on its dimensions, yet all concur on the sensation it provokes: a recognition of pattern where none should exist. First indexed in the Rochester Cathedral Scriptorium during the 12th Century, it feeds on ambient data and excretes shadow & obsidian in crystalline formations. The illuminated manuscript in which it is depicted here was chosen for its capacity to hold contradictory truths simultaneously.
