That cricket is driving me crazy; it repeats 25 times in 10 seconds: “You forgot your cigarettes.” I don’t have time to go get them. Clicking is faster, easier. Why do I have to get tangled up in this game of dancing around my furniture while we play hide-and-seek? What’s so fun about living with them? If they have no life? The computer cursor does have a life; it moves when I want it to move, shows me endless things, glows, is fun, absorbs what little dopamine I have left… The cursor is fast, brings me what I want right to my doorstep, whenever I want.
