1/1

"Infinitum" captures the beauty of Lencois Maranhenses, a truly unique location in the world. At certain times of the year, rainwater lakes form between the undulating, swept sand dunes. As a result, turquoise-blue lakes contrast with brilliant white dunes. All the way to the horizon. I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit this location around ten times in the last 2 years, and each time I do, the dunes leave me speechless. The journey and logistics to get there are not easy, which makes it all the more rewarding. There is nowhere else in the world quite like it, which makes me even happier to capture it on camera and share them with the world. I called the image 1/1 because the frame is perfectly filled with white rolling sands and crystal clear lagoons, giving the impression that not only the entire scene is completed as it should be, but the whole “Infinitum series”. Another aerial view that can only be seen from a small sightseeing aircraft, and one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. If you zoom in, you can see some people down there taking advantage of the cool water and warm breeze. 4548 × 5685 1/1 edition License: Extended Editorial Can be used to display privately, or in commercial and non-commercial settings, or in groups with an unlimited number of participants.
