Tristus Risus (n.) — The bittersweet feeling of hopium that comes from listening to sad songs while looking at NFTs; a peculiar blend of melancholy, nostalgia, and irrational optimism that somehow keeps you believing.
Jennifer Panepinto, aka QuantumSpirit, is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the space between nostalgia, emotion, and digital consciousness. Blending digital animation, and AI, her work embraces the beautiful imperfections of being human and the strange optimism of existing online. Minting art on the blockchain since 2020, she continues to explore the glitch between reality and imagination, where melancholy meets possibility and hope refuses to die.
