I was not meant for water alone.
Even stripped from flesh to bone,
I am a body built to sink, yet I dream of heights, I was never taught to reach.
Longing bends logic,
and freedom does not ask permission.
What was made to drown can learn
to soar the skies
so I chose
To soar the skies.
