adrift between worlds,
one enwreathed in solace,
and one enshrouded in chaos,
I am caught beneath it all,
a tidal wave that is pushing and pulling,
all at once and unrelenting,
until this liminal place is no more,
and I am finally alone,
left to my own devices.
