Created in virtual reality, this single edition hi-res video piece focuses on the light and the dark, the good and the bad, the art and the energy required to produce digital creativity. One side the garden of growth, hope and inspiration, the other side a power plant, dark and dystopian.
This piece represents my struggle with ethical concerns over the high energy consumption used in the production of my digital artwork and NFT transactions, as this new creative economy is not without a downside. I'm passionate about new technologies and using them in my arts practice but also mindful of my own footprint contributing to our environmental crisis and will endeavor to do my best to create an ethical balance.
One edition only to reduce energy consumption and 20% of purchase price will be donated to https://www.myclimate.org/ for carbon offsets.
