Immortal Burn

When you become a parent you become immortal. Your values, traits, mannerisms and your  DNA are transferred from your body to your child. You live on through your children and hope  that they achieve what you didn’t, experience the things you didn’t dare try, and live a better life than you did. Immortal is a piece that addresses these themes and more. It began as a painting of my son staring down at a model skull. Throughout history the skull has been a symbol of mortality, and in that tradition this painting also questions who we are, why we are here, and what will come tomorrow. The painting was set on fire and destroyed but not until it was tokenized, rendering the NFT the original and making it immortal, living forever on the blockchain. This video serves as the certificate of authenticity for Immortal and will be transferred to the winner of the auction.
