The second piece in VyleArt’s Transparency Collection, “Mind Data Telescope” or “M.D.T.”, allows consciousness to become quantum bits of data that can observe interstellar landscapes. Projected through a sharp line of light, this telescope sends consciousness to specific coordinates of the unknown universe. The observer will experience their discoveries not in real time, but later in strange distant memories or through dreams.
Based on the same technology as the “Consciousness Mover”, “M.D.T.” uses a series of lenses, mobile or static, that focus a light beam. This apparatus, bathed in the atmospheric light, creates a never-ending set of images that are entirely unique at each frame. It is a timelapse meant to last around 18 hours from various views of the telescope.
