This piece expresses a state of pure, dynamic support. Leg-hugging and kicking is a pattern often used by Yuan in 'Embraces' series, symbolizing a balanced internal strength and restrained external power to support human being self. Sliding figures add a dimension of freedom to the sensory support. This creation is based on the traditional Chinese artistic philosophy concept of "breathing". The person in this work connects "self-balance", "group balance" and "dynamic balance" in such a way.
