There's Something in the Milk

This is an animated version of Jon Beinart's 7.9" x 7.9" oil painting, titled "There's Something in the Milk". This animation was created in collaboration with Jon's good friend, Simbull. The sound was produced by Jon's talented stepkid, RainBlue. Through the process of animating Jon's painting, Simbull didn't just bring the characters to life, but also elaborated on the narrative by fleshing out the relationships between the fish people. While Jon was involved in some of these decisions, some of them came as a surprise and have given Jon a new perspective on the his painting and the unconscious meaning behind the imagery. Both Jon and Simbull prefer to leave the this piece open to interpretation so that the viewers can make up their own stories.
