Billelis presents “Mother”, A 1/1 digital artwork depicting the Mother of Jesus in divine sorrow. Inspired by the Dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in which the Holy Mother of God perished after living her earthly life only to ascend to the heavens 3 days after her death. Her victory over darkness and sin is visualised through the use of blooming flowers in her decaying cavity. A reminder of the life after we have gone and all physical attributes have faded away. The divine and sainted nature of her memory and sacrifice beautifully adorned in gold. Our earthly existence diminishing but life, memory and belief lives on through eternity...
