Part of the artists' Liminal Space Trilogy, Allegoria Sacra depicts an international airport as a metaphor for Purgatory, a contemporary reinterpretation of the mysterious eponymous painting by Giovanni Bellini, widely regarded as a depiction of that transitory space.
